Career Challenges & Choices : Negotiating a Career in Science

The Women in Chemistry Group invite you to our first event for 2013 – a panel discussion and networking breakfast entitled Career Challenges and Choices.

Men and women both face significant and unexpected challenges in negotiating a career in the chemical sciences. Many individuals experience career interruptions as a primary care giver to young children, caring for aging family members, coping with personal illness, or due to other unpredictable events. Join us for a networking breakfast and share in our panel’s stories and anecdotes, as they discuss their own strategies for not only negotiating some of life’s tough choices, but surviving and thriving. This open and honest discussion is open to all members of the community. We encourage everyone to attend.

The Women in Chemistry Group is grateful for the generous support provided by sponsors CSIRO and the Monash University School of Chemistry. The event is open to both RACI members and non-members ($15 per head), register online at the RACI website.

 When: 8.30 – 10.30 am, Tuesday 12 February 2013

Where: Ian Wark Laboratories, CSIRO, Clayton, Victoria

Cost: $15 per head, register online with the RACI.
